Welcome to LiveGround. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LiveGround website, mobile interface, web applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing or using LiveGround, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
LiveGround is a location-based travel and community platform built to help travelers discover and share recent on-ground conditions, including weather events, crowd levels, traffic, and general travel situations. The Platform is provided solely for general informational and community sharing purposes.
LiveGround is NOT an emergency response platform, disaster management tool, or life-safety dispatch service. In any emergency, natural disaster, severe weather warning, or hazardous road situation, always contact official local authorities, police, highway administration, or emergency response agencies directly.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Platform. You may access LiveGround anonymously or create an authenticated profile via Google Sign-In provided by Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.
You retain ownership of the photos, videos, notes, status updates, and reports you post to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant LiveGround a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, store, display, adapt, resize, and distribute your content across the Platform to fulfill service features. To keep ground information fresh and relevant, all ground updates (photos, videos, and text) automatically expire after 24 hours from publication.
LiveGround uses moderation measures to help reduce misleading, abusive, inappropriate, spam or unsafe content. However, user-generated reports are community contributions and may not always be independently verified. You agree that all updates and media you post represent your honest, firsthand ground observations.
When using LiveGround, you agree NOT to:
To provide relevant nearby feeds and place-based reports, LiveGround requests on-demand foreground GPS coordinates via your browser's Geolocation API. You may grant or decline permission at any time. Exact numerical coordinates are processed internally for proximity matching and are never displayed publicly on posts.
Photos and videos uploaded to LiveGround are processed and hosted using third-party infrastructure (Cloudinary). You agree not to upload content that infringes upon third-party copyrights, trademarks, or publicity rights.
Users may interact with posts through "Helpful" votes and submit Ground Requests for live conditions. To ensure timely ground reality without outdated queries cluttering the feed, Ground Requests automatically expire after 6 hours from submission. You agree not to artificially inflate, automate, or manipulate interaction metrics on the Platform.
The Platform may display contextual partner cards or links (such as stays, vehicle rentals, and external travel tools). LiveGround is not responsible for the availability, terms, pricing, safety, or fulfillment of services offered by independent third-party providers.
LiveGround reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to review, flag, re-categorize, or remove any user content that violates these Terms or is deemed detrimental to community safety, with or without prior notice.
You can request deletion of your LiveGround account and associated user data through in-app profile settings, subject to applicable regulatory requirements and information that may need to be retained for security and legal compliance. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms.
All platform software, interface designs, logos, trademarks, and system architecture are the exclusive property of LiveGround and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
LiveGround is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, or availability of crowdsourced information or third-party weather data.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LiveGround and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or travel-related damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform or any information provided thereon.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LiveGround, its administrators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from your submitted content or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
